Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by your private guide and transferred to Flame Tree Village.
Settle into your accommodation and enjoy time to relax after your journey. If your arrival time permits, you may take a short drive through Kigali and get your first impression of Rwanda's beautiful capital.

After breakfast, depart Kigali and travel east toward Akagera National Park, Rwanda's spectacular savannah and wetland wilderness.
Upon arrival, check in at Akagera Safari Camp and enjoy some time to relax.
In the afternoon, embark on a memorable boat safari on Lake Ihema. Cruise through calm waters while looking for hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffalo and a variety of beautiful waterbirds.
As the sun begins to set over the lake, return to camp for dinner and your first night in the African wilderness.

Wake up early for a full-day private game drive through Akagera National Park.
Explore the park's diverse landscapes of savannah, wetlands, lakes and woodland in search of its spectacular wildlife. Depending on the season and animal movements, you may encounter elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, hippos, antelopes and many species of birds.
Your experienced safari guide will help you discover the park while providing excellent opportunities for photography and wildlife observation.
Return to Akagera Safari Camp in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

After breakfast, leave Akagera and travel north toward the dramatic volcanic landscapes of Rwanda's Volcanoes region.

Continue to Mountain Gorilla View Lodge, where you can relax and enjoy views of the magnificent Virunga volcanic mountains.

Today brings one of the most extraordinary wildlife experiences in Africa.
After an early breakfast, head to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for your mountain gorilla trekking adventure.
Enter the misty rainforest and bamboo-covered slopes of the Virunga Mountains with expert trackers and guides. Search for a habituated gorilla family and spend a memorable period observing these remarkable animals in their natural environment.
After the trek, continue your journey to Gisenyi/Rubavu on the shores of Lake Kivu.
Check in at Lake Kivu Serena Lodge and relax beside one of Africa's beautiful inland lakes.
Highlights: Mountain gorilla trekking, Virunga Mountains, scenic drive and Lake Kivu relaxation.
Gorilla trekking is subject to permit availability and the gorilla family assigned by park authorities.
Enjoy a relaxing morning on Lake Kivu.
Take a boat excursion across Lake Kivu, enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding hills, islands and fishing communities. This is an excellent opportunity for photography and experiencing the peaceful atmosphere of the lake.
Later, visit the Nyamyumba Hot Springs, where you can experience the warm natural waters while enjoying views across Lake Kivu.
After your lakeside experience, continue south toward the ancient Nyungwe rainforest.
Arrive at Munazi Lodge, check in and enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by nature.

Today you explore one of Rwanda's most spectacular natural treasures—Nyungwe Forest.
Begin with a thrilling chimpanzee tracking experience, entering the rainforest in search of habituated chimpanzee communities. Listen for their calls and observe them moving through the forest canopy.
Later, experience the famous Nyungwe Canopy Walkway, suspended high above the rainforest. Walk across the bridge while enjoying breathtaking views of the forest canopy, mountains and surrounding wilderness.
Return to Munazi Lodge for relaxation and your final night in the Nyungwe region.
