This 6-day adventure combines the beauty and culture of Kigali, an exciting wildlife safari in Akagera National Park, a peaceful Lake Ihema boat safari, and the ultimate Rwanda experienceβmountain gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park.
Welcome to Rwanda! Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your private driver/guide and transferred to your accommodation.
Relax and settle in at Flame Tree Village, with time to recover from your journey and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Overnight: Flame Tree Village, Kigali
After breakfast, enjoy a guided Kigali city tour. Discover Rwanda's clean and beautiful capital, with opportunities to experience its history, culture, local markets and scenic viewpoints. Kigali offers a mixture of historical, cultural and modern attractions.
After lunch, depart for Akagera National Park, Rwanda's spectacular savannah wildlife destination.
Check in and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Akagera Safari Camp.
Overnight: Akagera Safari Camp
Wake up early for an exciting morning game drive through Akagera National Park.
Keep your camera ready as you explore the park in search of wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, hippos and numerous bird species.
Later, enjoy a Lake Ihema boat safari, where you can observe wildlife around the lake from the water. Boat excursions on Lake Ihema provide excellent opportunities to see animals along the shoreline and enjoy Rwanda's beautiful scenery.
Overnight: Akagera Safari Camp
After breakfast, travel toward the spectacular Volcanoes National Park in northern Rwanda.
Along the way, enjoy Rwanda's famous rolling hills and beautiful countryside.
Visit the Dian Fossey Museum, where you will learn about Dian Fossey's pioneering work and the conservation of mountain gorillas. The museum is located in Musanze, near Volcanoes National Park.
Continue to your lodge and relax before the next day's gorilla trekking adventure.

This is the highlight of your Rwanda adventure!
After an early breakfast, head to Volcanoes National Park for your mountain gorilla trekking experience.
Enter the beautiful mountain forest with experienced park guides and trackers as you search for one of Rwanda's habituated gorilla families. Once you find them, enjoy a magical and respectful encounter while observing their behavior and photographing this incredible wildlife experience.
After trekking, return to Kigali and relax at Flame Tree Village.
Overnight: Flame Tree Village, Kigali
Enjoy your final morning in Rwanda with a short Kigali city experience, shopping for souvenirs or visiting a few attractions depending on your departure time.
Your driver will then transfer you to Kigali International Airport for your flight home.
